ABSTRACT: Artificial satellites are used in several activities, among which we can mention: space exploration, carrying out experiments in a micro gravity environment, geodynamic studies, climate monitoring, etc. Thereby, artificial satellites made it possible to move the horizon of observations to distances not reachable from our planet, but for these measurements made through satellites could be conveniently used, it is essential that their orbits and altitudes are known, at all times, with precision. suited to the purposes of the mission for which the satellite was designed for. Hence the need to build theories or special methods, generally adapted to specific missions. Based on this principle, in this present work, using Lagrange's planetary equations, the variations of orbital elements of lunar satellites due to the non-uniform distribution of the Moon's mass are analyzed, considering some coefficients associated with harmonics of order and degree lower than 9 for some initial conditions. Approximated analytical solutions are compared with the numerical integration of the equations for some astrodynamics simulations, among which these are made through programs developed in Python language, for the calculation of variations of the orbital elements, considering simplified models for the perturbations. |
